Happy St. Piran's Day and a Birthday Cake

It's St. Piran's Day here in Cornwall! Like we need an excuse to eat a pasty!
For those that don't know St. Piran is the Patron Saint for tin miners, after - it is said that he rediscovered smelting.

I had planed on making some St. Piran themed cakes but haven't had chance yet. So in true Blue Peter fashion heres some cakes I made earlier.

This cake was for a teenage girls birthday. It was a vanilla and chocolate layer cake with cookies and cream filling.

These cupcakes were for another birthday party. I made chocolate cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream covered with strawberry curls, and vanilla cupcakes with fondant toppers.

Lastly I was asked to make some cupcakes for a local fundraiser, they were raising money for St Lukes Hospice.
